The SandboxAQ R&D team is looking for a PostDoc resident to help bring more AI to the domain of cybersecurity. A successful candidate will build models from scratch, fine tune existing ones, and run inference efficiently and design software systems around those models in close collaboration with our engineering department.

This remote role requires travel to company headquarters in Ft Worth, TX, one week every 4-6 weeks for team collaboration.

As a Data Scientist, you'll be responsible for all the analytical needs of an entire team of engineers, designers, and product/marketing managers -- helping empower the team and Thumbtack more broadly to build the best product, as quickly as possible. You will Propose and conduct quantitative research into key user behaviors, product flows, and business trends; based on analysis and in collaboration with cross-functional partners, identify potential new opportunities and next steps for the product team.

You’ll lead the development and maintenance of Marketing Mix Models (MMM), design and analyze incrementality tests, and optimize cross-channel advertising spend to maximize ROI and drive sustainable growth. Your work will play a critical role in ensuring that every marketing dollar is invested efficiently to attract and retain our most loyal customers.
